The English Education Study Program of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (PBI UAD) has built the nation’s generation for over 40 years. PBI UAD collaborated with across generations to become reliable educators. Several generations, including baby boomers, X, Y, and Z, have forged themselves and become educators who can address changing times’ challenges. In the next few years, universities will be filled by Gen Z. Gen Z has unique characteristics and is quite different from previous generations. Their creativity and technological capabilities are amazing, but their character and mentality are vulnerable. PBI UAD prepares an educational curriculum that can bring together the development of information technology and Islamic values. With these provisions, PBI UAD is optimistic that it can produce competent and noble graduates. Let’s prepare to be “The Next Educator”.

ALUMNI
Students of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan are not only equipped with academic but also are formed in character, spirit fighting, social life, spiritual life which make them more independent, creative and innovative.
A number of tourism-related courses at PBI UAD provide me with added value as a tourism person. In addition to being a teacher, now I am also a tourism consultant and assessor for tourism professional certification.
During college I was active in EDSA and UKM while also studying seriously. My mentality and competence grew and made me pass the overseas scholarship. Thank you to the lecturers of PBI UAD who are not only competent but also educate their students wholeheartedly.
Studying at PBI UAD and being involved in organizations at HMPS PBI UAD (EDSA) not only enriched my English knowledge, but also provided a space to hone my communication skills, problem solving, emotional management, and other soft skills that I never got. Thanks to all that, I can compete in the world of work and become a translator at the best language service provider (LSP) in the world.
The knowledge I gained led me to achieve my dreams: becoming an English teacher, public speaker, newscaster, bilingual presenter, and public speaking coach.
During my time as a student, I was active in various programs and competitions. With the support of PBI UAD, I was selected as an outstanding student up to the national level. I also often participate in debate competitions up to the international level such as the World University Debating Competition (WUDC) 2020 in Thailand. My portfolio then really helped me to realize my dream: studying abroad.
I am a graduate of S1 and S2 PBI UAD. With struggle and prayer, I am grateful to be accepted as a permanent PNS lecturer at the State Islamic University. This proves that PBI UAD graduates can compete with graduates of other prestigious campuses.
In addition to teaching in formal institutions, I also founded and managed an English language education institution. Not only for students, my institution is also a partner for many companies to improve their employees’ English skills. All of that is of course due to the provision of education at PBI UAD.
Together with 10 other PBI UAD graduates, we passed to become English teachers in several schools in Thailand. PBI UAD opens opportunities for its alumni to become teachers in several countries every year, especially Thailand. This is certainly because of PBI UAD’s reputation which makes it trusted by schools abroad.
Starting from being an English teacher, my career has thankfully continued to improve. In addition to hard work and prayer, the factor that I am an alumni of PBI UAD certainly plays a role. The academic atmosphere makes students enthusiastic about developing themselves.
Various activities for students outside of lectures make me more mature and able to network. My talents can develop because of the support of the education system at PBI UAD.
Becoming a civil servant teacher will be more open if we are graduates of a study program at a teacher training faculty that is accredited A. Alhamdulillah, not long after graduating, I was appointed as a civil servant teacher. The factor that I am a graduate of PBI UAD has more or less influenced the smooth running of the business.
